FIELD

Colter graduated from high school in 2006 and began college at the University of Arizona the next school year. He began his college career as an acting major but soon became dissatisfied with the art. As theatre became the biggest time commitment in his life, he realized that he would much rather be spending his time in a ministry or church.

After several stints of leadership in various other ministries on campus it became very obvious that Colter's passions and gifts could best be used through the campus church called Damascus Road.

He has a strong passion for reaching the poor and oppressed, and that makes Damascus Road a great home for him. It’s a stable place to serve and he is fulfilled by serving there. Colter also has a love for music and worship, and continues to lead a worship group and serve in the band.

FAITH

Colter accepted Jesus when he was 10 at church camp and grew up steadily attending church. He consistently was in leadership positions at church ranging from leading Bible studies as a junior higher and playing in the worship band in high school. It was after his freshman year of college that the Lord placed the desire to help the less fortunate in Colter’s heart. At this point Colter would say that he found his true identity in Christ and calling to serve.

FAMILY

Colter grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona where his family still resides. He is the oldest of three boys. His brothers are Taylor and Brant. His parents Dean and Jill are a great influence in his life and continue to be a huge support system for him.
