FIELD
Zach enrolled at Central Washington University for the 2007 school year, where he began growing his faith in God. With his growth, he began looking for ministry to be a part of. He spent a year and a half in one ministry on campus, but God ended up connecting him with Campus Ambassadors during the 2009 school year. He was drawn to this group by seeing the heart Matt Lundquist had for students firsthand, and later being discipled, mentored and trained by him.

After a year of being mentored and heavily involved in Campus Ambassadors, Zach joined the leadership team where he has been involved ever since. He volunteered on two Mission to Mexico trips, where he helped build houses for families in need and was part of multigenerational discipleship. During this past year Matt has trained him to lead Bible studies, have book discussions, give sermons, evangelize and be a leader.

Zach will be spending his last year of college and the year after that interning with Campus Ambassadors. During this time he hopes to reach students on campus, lead people to a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ, and help to create an environment that is safe for everyone, regardless of background.  

FAITH
Zach went to a Christian preschool and Sunday school growing up. Having a Christian background provided him with a firm foundation to stand on. He gave his whole life to Christ and made his faith his own during his senior year of high school, when he discovered he was in need of a Savior. That need caused him to turn to the only place he knew to turn for help, which was the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. He has continued growing in his relationship with God since that day.

In December of his freshmen year of college, he realized God was calling him to ministry, specifically youth ministry. He told his youth pastor about God’s call and was encouraged to get involved in a church and a campus ministry at school because it would help to affirm that call. Today Zach isn’t sure if he is meant to be a youth pastor, but he believes that God has confirmed the call to spend his life in ministry for God.

FAMILY
Zach is the oldest of two brothers and a younger sister. He grew up in Maple Valley, Washington, and lived mostly with his dad’s parents.
