FIELD
Sam is studying communications at Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts. He moved from Lawrence in 2009, where his family and home church are located. He is currently in leadership with the Campus Ambassadors ministry at Worcester State. Sam is on the worship teams at his home church, Ministerio Rompiendo Muralla, and at Campus Ambassadors meetings. He is also involved in the coordination of special events.

The way everything came together to be a part of this amazing ministry was too obvious for me to ignore, says Sam. My God is a God of opportunities and His love is the opportunity I want my campus to know about. I am a communicator of His love through action, example and testimony.

FAITH
Sam was born and raised in a Christian home and involved in church as a child. He preached for the first time when he was about 7 years old in his local church in Manati, Puerto Rico. He then moved to the United States in 2000 with his family and started getting involved in church and active in the youth ministry. Between the age of 15-17 Sam went through some really tough family circumstances, but after looking for hope and love elsewhere, he reconciled with God and was baptized at age 18.

Shortly after this, Sam became highly active in his church which is led by his parents, Pastor Samuel Maisonet & Mahir Y. Gomez. He became the youth leader and started a youth movement to conquer young souls for God. His passion for God started a ministry of unity called Lawrence UNITED, currently directed by him and other local young adult leaders of Lawrence, Massachusetts.

In 2009 he enrolled in Worcester State College as a student to continue his education, where he was introduced to Campus Ambassadors. He became active in the ministry and decided he wanted to be a more intimate part by becoming an intern at the beginning of the summer of 2010. He is looking forward to being a great testimony for others to understand that God’s love is all.

FAMILY
Sam Maisonet is the oldest son of Samuel Maisonet Sr. and Mahir Y. Gomez, and has a brother, Bryan, and two sisters, Yelimar and Yashira. The whole family is involved in ministry. His Dad is pastor of a local Spanish church. The family was been through brokenness, but the love, mercy and purposes of God have kept this family together to be an example of God’s mercy and grace.
