FIELD
Bethany Vogeney is a graduate of Oregon State University. In 2006 she spent 10 weeks in an evangelism training program in New Zealand and returned to school with a new heart for ministry. Bethany made it a point to get involved with Campus Ambassadors at Oregon State and soon found herself desiring a more serious commitment to the group. She served as an intern with Campus Ambassadors for 2 years.
These 2 years of ministry increased her love of missions, mobilization, and relationship building. She loves connecting people with opportunities to use their gifts to build others up.
In her new role with Missions Door she hopes to do just that. Bethany hopes to be involved in missions through sustainable international development work.
Most recently, Bethany served as an Americorps volunteer for a year with the City of Gresham and has a new found interest in reaching the environmental community with the love of Christ.
FAITH
Bethany was raised in a Christian home and came to faith in Christ at a young age.
Around age 9 she had many struggles with worry and doubt, which often interfered with other areas of her childhood - like school, sports and friends. But when she realized nothing was too big for God to handle, she began to grow out of this worry-some stage.
She really began to take ownership of her faith in high school. In college she was challenged to really consider what it means to live for Christ, especially after a mission trip to New Zealand.
FAMILY
Bethany’s parents and a younger brother all live in Oregon.
